Costs for mediation are significantly less than hiring an attorney to represent them in a divorce without using mediation and accruing court cost and fees.
The fee for the initial mediation session, which may last up to three hours, is $450.00. This is traditionally a shared cost between the spouses or divorcing parents.
A $50.00 non-refundable deposit is required at the time of scheduling the initial mediation session and will be applied to the total balance.
The remaining fee is required to be paid prior to the start of the initial mediation session. These fees also covers the writing time to prepare the Memorandum of Understanding also known as mediation agreement.
